Join artist Victoria Papale as she uses oils to paint still life in our studio. You will learn how to apply the oil to the canvas to create a beautiful painting. All supplies are available.

During this fun workshop you will choose your gourd from the options available. We have many ideas for you to decortae your birdhouse. After tracing your design, you can burn the outline into the gourd using a burner. Then carefully applying very small amount of stain you can decorate the gourd. These gourds are large and ready for your yard to welcome birds to stay. Birds absolutely love to make ahome in the natural casing of a gourd. 

Need help getting motivated to create?  This Open Studio is designed for those looking to commit to a weekly time and space to work on self guided projects with others that share your artistic interests. Artists can choose to work in any dry or water-based media. While working independently on your projects, peers and experienced class monitors will provide support and feedback. Each artist provides their own materials and references.

Jillian Yank will teach you how to make delicious sour dough bread at home yourself. 

You will learn the process from start to finish, and you will receive a starter, 2 containers, and 2 loaves of bread to take home.

 This workshop is suitable for beginner and advanced artists.  You may bring a clear close up photo to use for your 10 X 12 canvas portrait. I will give a short talk on the History of the Earth Tones which date back to Classic and Hellenistic Greece.  Before we begin to paint we will do visualization and art exercises to help stimulate the brain and lubricate the hand.  There will be a short break for Lunch, then we will continue to paint our portraits Supplies will also be provided by Maverick Studios.  Come and enjoy an inspiring afternoon, meet new friends and leave with your Portrait!  

Janet has been teaching watercolor painting for years here in Cape May County. During this fun workshop, she will teach you how to paint with watercolor to complete colorful paintings of still life. We will set up a colorful scene with holly, poinsettias and pottery and have fun painting.
